Systemic Lupus Erythermatosus

Lupus most often strikes young women between the ages of 20 - 40.  Lupus is characterized by severe fatigue and butterfly rashes across the face.  Pain and swelling occurs in hands, wrists, elbows, knees, ankles or feet.  You may experience morning joint stiffness.  The sun will make the butterfly conditions worse.  You may experience hair loss.  Lupus is a serious condition affecting internal organs like the brain, heart, kidneys and lungs.  Lupus patients are prone to bleeding disorders and chronic infections.  MSM has been known to improve about 75% of lupus patients.  MSM relieves inflammation, pain, stiffness and fatigue in lupus patients.  MSM doesn’t cure lupus anymore than cortisone does, but is an effective treatment due to it’s anti-flammatory and immune modulating actions. MSM may also help a lupus patient to reduce or discontinue the use of prednisone.
