Dogs
and cats get acne too! When pets get
acne, it usually appears on the chin. They
can be itchy and bumpy to your pet as well a being sore to the touch.
Dogs
usually get acne during their teenage years, in part because changing hormone
levels cause oil-producing glands in the skin to become overactive. This can
clog their pores. In cats, acne usually occurs during their adult years.
No
one really knows for sure why pets get acne. In dogs, there appears to be a
genetic link since it tends to occur in short-coated breeds.
Dogs can also get acne from allergies or from rubbing against objects
that irritate the skin. In cats, acne may be triggered by allergies, ringworm,
or even by problems with the immune system. Give you pet msm daily! You can make a paste out of it and
pack it directly onto the infected area and it will clear up.
My cat had acne on his chin and I put a paste on it for two days straight
along with his food intake and presto no more bumps on his chin……
Psoriatic Arthritis and MSM supplement
Psoriatic arthritis is a less
common form of arthritis and it affects both men and women usually between the
ages of 30 to 50. Psoriatic
arthritis can start slowly or develop quickly.
Do not let this disease go untreated for you could end up disabled. The
symptoms of psoriatic arthritis include: stiffness in joints, swelling of the
joints, morning stiffness and tiredness, redness and pain of the eye, nail
changes, like pitting and lifting of the nail and a reduced range of motion. Joints commonly affected by psoriatic arthritis are the
wrists, knees, ankles, lower back and neck. It is a long-lasting condition that
affects the skin and nails and produces joint inflammation. Over 80% of people
with psoriatic arthritis have nail problems.
There have been many good results for those who use msm as a daily supplement
for this condition.
There are many other types of psoriatic arthritis.
The most common of all
psoriasis types is called plaque psoriasis.
Symptoms of this form are inflamed lesions that may be covered with
scales. These scales are actually dead skin cells and appear to be white or
silver in color. This type of psoriasis can form on any skin surface. This
particular type is more common on the elbows, knees, scalp, and the trunk of the
body. Try applying MSM powder paste
onto these lesions and watch them heal faster.
Another type of psoriasis is
known as guttate psoriasis. Small
red blemishes on the skin are the common symptom.
It most often appears on the trunk of the body, but is also found on the
arms and legs. It has been noted
that an outbreak of guttate psoriasis can follow streptococcal infections as
well as a viral upper respiratory infection. Some illness such as the common
cold, tonsillitis, and other sickness can trigger an outbreak of this type of
psoriasis. It is suggested by some researchers that mental stress, some types of
drugs, and immunizations can cause the disorder to appear.
One type of this disorder, inberse
psoriasis, is found in skin folds. These can be in the armpit, under the
breasts, and in the groin. The symptom is an inflamed lesion without the usual
scaling found in the other types of psoriasis. It becomes more noticeable when
the skin is subjected to rubbing from clothing material and when the body
sweats.
A less common type, erythrodermic
psoriasis, appears on the skin as red skin with fine scales. It can be very
irritating due to the severe itch and pain. Some swelling has been known to
accompany this form of psoriasis. Topical treatment can help reduce the itching
and the pain.
Pustular Psoriasis
is noted for its pustules, or blisters. These pustules is neither an infection
or contagious. The pus is made up of white blood cells and poses no danger to
anyone who touches it. This disorder is usually found on the feet or hands, but
has been known to affect people on other areas of the body. It can be cyclic;
going from red, inflamed skin to the formation of the pustules and finally
scaling.
A particularly uncomfortable
type, psoriatic arthritis, is found in 10% of those who suffer from
psoriasis. This type causes swelling in the hands, feet, and in the large joints
of the ankles, knees, hips, elbows, and the spine. Joint pain and stiffness
accompanies this psoriasis. Joint damage has been known to occur if treatment is
not applied.
Scalp psoriasis
affects approximately 50% of sufferers of psoriasis. The symptoms of this
disorder are inflammation of the scalp; lesions covered with scales, and
elevated skin surfaces.
Nail psoriasis
affects both fingernails and toenails. The nails can become yellow in color and
thick. The nails can develop brittleness and the skin surrounding the nails can
become inflamed. Nails can become detached from the toe or finger.
Are there any cures for
these psoriasis disorders?
There have been no known
cures but ointments using msm products have been proven to give great
relief…MSM has been know to reduce psoriasis disorders in many cases.
